Ma Boyles and Covid-19

After an extended closure, Ma’s is pleased to be back open and the safety of our customers and staff is our priority.

Following the lifting of lockdown restrictions, we are very happy to be serving you again. However, we have made changes to how we operate for your safety. Guidance is likely to change in coming weeks and months and we will be constantly be refining our operational plan in light of updated government and public health advice, so please bear with us – our staff is doing everything we can to give you the Ma’s experience you love while protecting you in these strange times. Our opening hours and menu have been temporarily reduced during these early weeks of re-opening, but we hope to be returning to full service as soon as possible. Please do not hesitate to get in contact if you have any questions. Please find below the measures we have implemented at Ma Boyle’s for your safety.

  • Fewer tables and a minimum 1 meter apart from the next guests.
  • Table service only – no bar service will be allowed
  • No customers standing around the bar area, tall tables have been removed
  • Our front and back of house staff will be wearing masks at all times
  • Music volume reduced
  • No live music or events
  • Check-in track and trace data capture for all guests via mobile phone. This data with your table number is stored securely externally and then destroyed after 21 days. This data complies with GDPR regulations and will not be used for marketing purposes.
  • All returning Ma Boyle’s staff are re-inducted to the business for new increased public safety standards. Each returning member of staff will have completed a COVID-19 training program and be accredited with a certificate.
  • We’ve increased the frequency of our cleaning routines. Every table is cleaned thoroughly at the end of every guest visit, including seats.
  • Where possible food condiments and sauces will be served in disposable single-use sachets.
  • Toilet checks and touchpoints cleaning regime have been increased to every 30 mins.
  • All our staff is temperature checked before they start shift.
  • For the next couple of months, we are a CARD ONLY operation for payments. We accept contactless up to £45 for most debit and VISA, Mastercard, Apple Pay options. We do not accept American Express.
  • If you would like contactless ordering, then please download QTap App available in the Apple/ Google store.
  • We do encourage you to book your table – even if it’s just for drinks. With a reduced capacity we want you to be absolutely certain that we can accommodate you and your party. At present the maximum number of patrons in one booking is 6 ppl. For lager number it is possible to accommodate you, however we will have to put you on separate table configurations.
  • Three sanitising stations are set up in the venue. We are asking patrons to sanitise upon entry and whenever you leave your table.
  • All of our menu is available for takeaway and we are also on Deliveroo and UberEATS for home delivery.
  • Cutlery is served in paper sleeves and menus are sanitised after each guest. Tables are clear of flowers, condiments etc.
  • We will still be taking bookings for parties, large bookings for as soon as we can accommodate them in line with government guidelines. Our 3-course Christmas menu will be available to book from August.

We ask all our guests to be respectful of our new policies when they visit us.
